Course Description
Managing current LSF clusters and planning for upgrades can be a challenging process. This course will address processes involved in transitioning from LSF 6 to LSF 7. The hands-on sessions will acquaint the users with the process of installation of LSF 7, the look and feel of the new interface and the available options for managing an LSF 7 cluster. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a new LSF administrator, this course will address many customer-specific integration and deployment questions that should be answered before an upgrade or transition can take place.

Who Should Attend
The Transition to LSF7 Workshop for Platform LSF is designed to address operational and implementation issues in simple as well as complex clusters built on Platform LSF. The format of the workshop is hands-on based with demonstrations and presentations. Internal experts, i.e., developers of the key functionalities of Platform LSF, will be brought into the session to share their knowledge of internals with the participants.

Course Pre-requisite
The participants of the Transition to LSF 7 Workshop for Platform LSF should have attended Basic and Advanced Configuration & Administration for Platform LSF training courses or have the equivalent LSF knowledge and at least 6 months administration experience with Platform LSF.
