Achievement for Leading Grid Computing Solutions Vendor
Establishes Competitive Advantage in Marketplace
Toronto ON, May 10, 2006 – Platform Computing
Corporation, the global leader in grid computing software solutions,
today announced that it has achieved Common Criteria certification for
its enterprise grid products. Issued by the Communications Security
Establishment (CSE), and accepted by more than 20 governments
worldwide, Common Criteria certification is an international standard
for ensuring that information technology products conform to stringent
security requirements.
Products certified include Platform LSF® and Platform LSF HPC,
industry-leading workload management solutions, and Platform LSF
MultiCluster, software that allows organizations to share IT resources
spanning geographical locations.
"Platform Computing is pleased to meet the stringent requirements of
the Common Criteria certification process, providing government
agencies with independent evaluation of an IT product’s security
functions and the associated product developer methodology," said
Songnian Zhou, CEO, Chairman and Co-founder of Platform Computing.
"Platform Computing is the first grid computing software vendor to
achieve this certification, thus ensuring government customers that
their underlying security needs can be met as they deploy grid-enabled
solutions to improve application performance, lower costs and increase
resource utilization."
In response to market demand, Platform Computing chose Evaluation
Assurance Level (EAL) 2 for its initial certification, and is committed
to ongoing certification as required by the marketplace.
