Platform OCS 5 is an all new and improved provisioning and management software package designed to enable analysts, engineers, & scientists to exploit the power of High Performance Computing (HPC) and maximize productivity and time to results. Platform OCS 5 is designed as an integrated set of technologies and tools to simplify the deployment and management for Linux-based Clusters. Platform is delivering to the industry’s demand for technology streamlining providing software that simplifies a system’s run of life including; building, running, and managing a Linux cluster. Today, enabled by Platform OCS 5, configurations that could take weeks and hours to provision can be reduced to mere minutes. The new single management interface now allows administrators and users to treat the entire cluster as a single system even if it is built out of hundreds or even thousands of varied technologies.

Platform OCS 5 provides an arsenal of built in tools to provision, manage and maintain clusters. The embedded workload management tools simplify running applications while the application development tools, themselves, are now included to help port your applications to the clustered environment. Designed with adherence to strict industry standards, Platform OCS 5 is also certified to the Intel Cluster Ready (ICR) guidelines and incorporates the latest open source cluster tools.
