It was an eventful and strong year for Platform Computing with continued customer growth and improved recognition as a leader in clusters, grids and cloud management software. 2009 will be remembered as Platform Computing’s entrance into cloud computing and the mainstreaming of our HPC solutions with our partners.

While cloud computing is technically an evolution, it promises profound, even revolutionary, changes for the delivery of IT services over the next few years. Similarly, as the HPC continues to mature, the line between enterprise and HPC continues to blur as BI (enterprise analytics) and Web 2.0 applications are deployed on shared compute platforms.
