We are currently looking for 1 individual to fill the role of SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (JL).
Description
Software developer position with primary responsibility to implement, debug and verify software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Performs design and programming of development projects, including functional analysis and investigation, high-level design, low-level design, and implementation
- Performs design and implementation reviews to other developers on multiple projects
- Performs installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of products
- Prepares, writes, or reviews technical documentation
- Researches and understands marketing requirements for a product and new technologies or development tools
- Participates in design meetings and discussions.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE completed Computer Science/Computer Engineering Bachelor or Master Degree.
- 2-3 years of Windows and/or UNIX system development experience is highly desired, preferably Linux, Sun Solaris, and HP-UX
- Strong knowledge of C, C++, and software development methodology
- An understanding of the principles of Object Oriented software design
- Thorough technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation
- Experience in HPC (i.e. MPI, hardware interconnect) is an asset
- Knowledge of Databases, such as Oracle, is an asset
- Knowledge of Java, Web Service knowledge is an asset
- Excellent skills in research and analysis, project planning, and implementation
- Good understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
