We are currently looking for 1 individual to fill the role of SALES ENGINEER/CONSULTANT(BW).
Description
To help customers realize business value of Cloud Computing. Day to day duties will include scoping project requirements, assisting with sales proposals and quotations, partner and customer training and participation in technology seminars.
Responsibilities:
- To engage and propose to clients, Cloud Computing solutions which will increase their computer system asset utilization and accelerate their software applications and key business processes
- To assist in project scoping, sales proposals, quotations in responding to requests for RFPs
- To coordinate with channel/strategic partners, engineers to manage technical risks and customers issues to ensure project success
- To deliver formal training and conduct onsite customer workshops to assist customers in deploying complex grid computing environments
- To gather clients valuable feedback and requirements to assist Platform's core engineers to steer product development
- To develop a level of expertise in Platform's products and work with 3rd party vendors/SI as a strong customer and partner advocate
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering preferably with at least 2 years programming experience in C/C++, java and scripting environment
- Experience with web based solution deployments using Apache on Linux as well as Tomcat & Java is an asset
- System administration experience in Linux/Unix and Windows computing environment is required
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Previous experience in supporting HPC/Grid environment in various industries
- May be required to travel through the Asia Pacific region as required to meet with partners and customers
