We are currently looking for 1 individual to fill the role of MapReduce/HDFS SUPPORT, PS, and TRAINING (BL).
Description
This role is to provide support for Platform MapReduce and open-sourced HDFS, deliver Professional Services solutions and training around Platform MapReduce product to customers for their Big Data Analytics environments.
Responsibilities
- Resolve customer issues which may require investigation and research on existing products
- Design workaround or solutions that require good knowledge of products and user environment
- Help develop testing plans for customer reported issues
- Work with Development to articulate requirements of customers to further grid adoption
- Work with customers in application integration, deliver PS packaged solutions
- Help customers with Grid implementations, application migration and testing
- Create training materials and deliver product training to end users
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent professional educational attainment.
- Have at least one year solid implementation experience with open-sourced MapReduce and Hadoop File System (HDFS).
- Have at least 3 years in Java, C/C++, and Python, IT infrastructures, database and storage systems in large complex Linux/Unix/Windows environments.
- Have at least 3 years working experience in software support, development or customer facing projects
- Have knowledge in distributed software, such as grid computing, real-time middleware.
- Must be self-motivated, like to travel, work well in a geographically dispersed, collaborative team environment, must exhibit a positive and professional attitude, and pay attention to detail.
- Project management and client facing professional services consulting experience desirable.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Able to travel for customer engagement - Professional Services and training
