Additional Components

Extend Platform OCS 5 with tested and configured third party tools and applications that can be installed as Platform OCS 5 Kits. A set of 'base' components are installed by default on a Platform OCS 5 cluster while a Kit can be installed at any time. The Kits listed below provide you with the choice and flexibility required to operate your cluster.

Standard Platform Open Cluster Stack 5 kits include:

Platform HPC Kit

 High Performance Computing toolkit including various MPIs, benchmarks, and libraries.

Nagios

 Host, service monitoring and event handling tool.

Platform OFED

 OFED (OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution) is a single software stack that operates across all available InfiniBand devices and configurations such as mem-free, DDR/SDR, PCI-X, and PCI Express modes.

Ganglia Kit

 High level view of the entire cluster load and individual node load.

Cacti Kit

 Node and cluster monitoring solution.

Ntop Kit

 Monitor traffic on ethernet interfaces. Useful for debugging network traffic problems and passively collects network traffic on interfaces.

Platform Lava

 Entry-level workload management provides commercial grade job execution, management and accounting. Based on Platform LSF.

JAVA JRE

 Java™ 2 Platform Standard Edition Runtime Environment.
